Kidz Art of Jazz

An integral part of the festival is the “Kidz Art of Jazz” sm. This program features a variety of interactive, family fun activities with a jazz and art theme. Families can create art or crafts at Jazz Imagination stations, be involved with instrument making, or they can participate in a mosaic project with a musical theme. In addition to creating “take-away” art and crafts pieces (instruments, jewelry, t-shirts, etc.), the young artists have produced several permanent art pieces, which are currently on display at the Forest Park Senior Center and around the city of Forest Park.

Kidz Muzik Klinik

Kidz Muzik Klinik (pronounced - Kids Music Clinic) is a 6-8 week music instructional program. Young people ages 12-18 will be taught by professional musicians, weekly for one and a half hours, in a structured, supervised setting.

No previous musical experience is required
Don’t have an instrument? No problem!

A variety of musical instruments will be available for loan during the weekly sessions (depending on what instrument the student wants to play). If the student has their own instrument, please feel free to bring it with you.

All that is required is a registration fee, at a very nominal cost of $75.00.
The Kidz Muzik Klinik launches each April. If you’re interested, contact Project ArtReach by December 1st. Space is limited, so you’d better hurry and sign up your future muzik protégé!

*Upon completion of the 6-8 week program there will be a concert performance by the “kidz”.
